Covid-19 and Team Benn
It was an unusual day last week when all the installation staff turned up to the office at the same time.
During the Covid-19 emergency we have been trying to keep everyone apart as much as possible. We replenish van stocks at random times so staff mix as seldom as possible for as short a time as possible. Our locksmith service tends to work from the counter but security installers only need to visit for short periods.
We took advantage of the coincidence to snap an update picture of our team and the vehicles. It was good to get together for a few minutes before they went on their way to various home security jobs around Cambridgeshire. It was a good feeling for the lads to meet up if only for a short period. It is certainly difficult presently with all the worries of communicating this terrible disease.
It was a useful moment though, to reinforce our commitment to carry out extra sanitary measures when we arrive on site and ensure we leave our work area as clean as or cleaner than we found it.
Covid-19 safety measures that Benn Lock and Safe have taken
Our locksmiths and access control engineers regularly work on communal doors and intercom systems and cleaning the work area before and after is imperative during the Covid-19 emergency. Over the past few months we have perfected our cleanliness and social distancing skills – something we never thought we would have to make a fundamental consideration of our normal working methods.
Our people have been doing a brilliant job and we have all been keeping safe.
The measures we have taken at our trade counter have proved an asset. Many of our customers have mentioned that they feel safe coming into our showroom and have complimented us on the measures we have taken and the professional way our people perform the sanitising we carry our before and after key cutting. We have fitted large perspex screens and once you get used to speaking through them they seem to disappear.
